As the first phase of its expansion plan, the clinic signed a joint venture contract for the establishment of a 365mc clinic in Jakarta, Indonesia, with Mayapada Group, a global conglomerate based out of Indonesia, on Feb. 20.

Under the accord, the two parties plan to open 365mc Indonesia at Mayapada Hospital in Jakarta in July to provide obesity treatment, including its patented liposuction treatment, to customers in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

365mc will also train local liposuction doctors using the M.A.I.L System (Motion capture and Artificial Intelligence assisted Liposuction), which it developed with Microsoft in 2017, transfer advanced liposuction medical technology from 365mc's Liposuction Institute, and standard operating procedures.

The two parties have named Dr. Gwendy Aniko, former Secretary General of PERAPI, the Indonesian Association of Plastic Surgeons, as the first CEO of 365mc Indonesia.

"We are pleased to partner with Mayapada Group, a leading Indonesian company, and establish 365mc Indonesia with them," 365mc CEO Kim Nam-chul said.

Meanwhile, 365mc's expansion into Indonesia comes after the clinic announced its global expansion plan based on M.A.I.L in December 2019.

However, the clinic's plan was put on hold indefinitely due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus.

As the pandemic has now entered an endemic stage, the clinic stressed that it plans to showcase even bold momentum as its entry has been delayed by more than two years.

"We will expand beyond Indonesia to Vietnam, the Philippines, North America, Europe, and the Middle East to spark a boom in K-Liposuction," Kim said.

365mc Indonesia Chairman Wong Budi Setiawan also said, "Based on 365mc's superior liposuction medical technology, we will invest heavily to help 365mc Indonesia grow further."
